Spring Break

While we were down in Vancouver for Easter we decided to take the long way home and hit the beach. So Monday we drove out to Tillamook, OR and went to the cheese factory.

Then we headed out to Seaside, OR and got a hotel room right on the beach. The girls loved that.
The view from our room.

Playing on the beach.

We visited the Seaside aquarium right when we got there.. that was interesting. Those are two different Octopuses.

The second day we drove down to Cannon Beach and went out to Haystack rock. Jordan took them out on the rocks and showed them all the tide pools and all the creatures in those tide pools.
We had lots of fun and will definitely be taking more of those trips.

6 months old

Can't believe he's 6 months old already!
His sister's LOVE him.

He's even getting hair cuts! Just a little behind the ears.
Yesterday I took him in for his 6 month check up...
17.4 pounds! 26 inches long.
He is about 50% for his weight and about 30% for his height. He's got those short little legs. Everything else looks great. He is a very content and mellow little boy. He really is a good baby. He will just lay on his belly or back and play with toys. He likes to be held once in a while but usually when he is getting tired. He has been sleeping better usually only up about 1 time a night sometimes more. He really isn't rolling over to much yet, but he does move around in circles where ever he is. He loves it when his sisters come over and pull him up to a standing position. Cooper loves to just watch everyone move around him.

Emma's Scavenger hunt

Emma is always surprising us with fun little games usually something she thought of herself. This idea came from Grandma Erickson who made a scavenger hunt for Emma on her birthday. While I was on the phone tonight and dad was cleaning the kitchen Emma made up a scavenger hunt for dad. It was so darn cute and she hid all the clues by herself. My favorite one was of course "Somewhere you snuggle up with mom" HA. That clue was on his side of the bed. And the heart was the last one to find! We love our Emma and she makes us smile all the time. She is so creative and I love that about her. I hope she never loses that creativity. Afterward she insisted that Dad make one up for her, which he did and she loved it.

The Birthday Party

Emma celebrated her 6th birthday on Saturday and all she wanted was a Hannah Montana Birthday.. I tried to steer her a different direction but it didn't work so we went with her theme. We kept it small. We started with coloring Hannah Montana pictures and then had a good game of pin the star on the Hannah Montana poster. Grandma Erickson even joined in on the fun. The girls loved it. Then we made rock star necklaces. They all got to pick a sparkly electric guitar charm and then I hand stamped their initial on a metal circle charm to go with it. Then the cake... Jordan and I worked hard on this one she loved it. Finally we opened presents and Grandma made a cool treasure hunt to look for hers. The girls loved that too. They finally found the prize in the front yard.

Valentines cards

My girls were so excited this year for Valentines day! Emma kept bugging me and asking when could she fill hers out. So we finely set down and did it. Dottie filled all of hers out all by herself too! Emma gave hers away at school and then Dottie gave hers out at play group. We had an awesome party for play group and made pizzas and decorated cookies. The kids had a blast and I think all the mom's did too.
