A New Project...

I found this pattern for a head band... I thought it was really pretty cute and the pattern seemed simple enough.

I am not really big on sewing but I can if I take the time. And I have a sewing machine that really needed some use. So I searched thru my stuff and I found enough of this fabric to make a head band. It took me a while but I figured it out. So needless to say I will probably be making more.

We put Dot's down for a nap and Emma put on her apron to help me.. she loves helping me do anything. And when I was done she said.."oh Mommy I love it" Made me feel pretty good.

Emma also loves posing for pictures!!

Hair Cut

Ahhh we cut Emma's hair. I think I was more nervous about it than she was. It was getting so long but I had put off cutting it because I knew we would cut off all the curls that she had. She was actually excited about it! I think I cut off a good 4 inches. It still kind of curls under at the bottom but the big curls are gone!!! Maybe after we get used to it I might cut it a little shorter maybe into a little bob or something. We will see.

This never happens!

A couple of weeks ago we came home from church and started on dinner like usual.. We put Dot in her high chair and gave her some things to snack on and when we finally sat down to eat dinner we look over at Dottie and she can hardly keep her eyes open. Jordan and I sat there was watched her fall asleep in front of us. Emma did this a few times but Dottie never does this. She is usually very picky about where she will fall asleep. Only in a bed or the car seat! This was so unusual we had to take a picture. After the picture we put her in her bed!

New Walmart!

Yes, Yesterday the Yelm Walmart opened! Now I know this might not be a very big deal to most people but I am ecstatic! Now we like living in Yelm but to get to most anything besides the grocery store and Rite aid.. it is a good 20-30 drive. So when I go out I have a list of things to get and a list of stores to go to in one day! Sometimes that can be too much for a 3 and 1 year old. So let me say again I am ecstatic for our new Walmart. I took the girls yesterday just to look around.. and you could tell it was the first day, nobody new what they were doing especially the cashiers. So although we were excited we might wait a week to go back so the workers can kind of get in the grove of things.

Dance Class!!

Emma started her first dance class this summer... she is sooooo excited about it. Some how or some way she relates everything she talks about back to dance class. This is a picture of her first day before she went.

4th of July

Happy 4th of July! We had so much fun. We went up to my brothers house and there little town of Carnation, WA had a parade. Here are some pics of the girls at the parade! Then we had a BBQ for dinner down at the lake by his house and then at 10pm there was the best fire work show over the lake! Very fun! We hope every one had a fun safe holiday!
