Beginning of our Journey - ROME

Just some old columns in the middle of the city

 As many of you know Jordan took a work assignment in Italy for one year.  So the first week of May 2014 we packed up and moved thousands of miles away.  We left Seattle at about 6 pm and took a flight to London where we had just enough time to change planes and get on a flight to Rome.  The kids did great for the circumstances.  Britta was the only one we had some troubles with but that was to be expected with a 21 month old.  We landed in Rome at about 7 pm the next day and headed straight to the hotel with our 13 bags and 4 kids.  Jordan, Emma and I each pushed a luggage cart and Dottie was pushing the stroller with Britta. Luckily the hotel was within walking distance. The next morning we woke up and took the free shuttle into downtown Rome.  Yes we were all still very tired but we had limited time in Rome so away we went.

 Jordan had been here before so he gave us the quick tour.  Here we are at the Pantheon.

 Of course while we were there they were doing demonstrations which I have learned are fairly common.

Our first real Italian gelato!

 And last but not least the Colosseum.  It was pretty amazing.  We did not have time to do any tours and I am not sure I kids would have lasted that long so we will have to go back.  We only had about 4 hours in the city.  

We found the shuttle and headed back to the hotel where we got our rental car and loaded up.. I mean loaded filled to the brim no space left (I wish we would have taken a picture of that) and drove 4 hours to Manfredonia where we are temporarily living before we can move to Trani.

It's been a while

Not sure if anybody still even reads this blog it's been over a year since I updated anything.  Jordan keeps telling me I need to blog about our new adventures more so to keep track for ourselves and share pictures with family and friends.
I am going to try and start this up again.  We have moved over seas and will try to keep everyone updated!  But they have changed out to upload pictures so I am going to have to try and figure it all out first.

Dance Video

Here is the first part of their dance.  I can't remember why we didn't get the whole thing.  Oh well.. They are both second in from the right. 

Dance Recital

 In the beginning of December the girls had their Winter Dance recital.  They wanted to the hip hop class so that is what we did and they loved it.

I tried to post a video..  we will see if it actually works.  Sorry if it doesn't.

Thanksgiving

 We hosted our first Thanksgiving at our house this year.  We finally have room with our new house.  It was very fun.  We had my parents and my brother and his family.  I can't remember which night maybe the night before we played minute to win it games.  So fun.  Here are the girls shakin their booties to get the plastic golf balls our of a tissue box strapped to them.

 I think Jordan got a little camera happy but we got some fun photos.

Britta's Baby Blessing

 In November we also had Britta's baby blessing.  Lots of family and fun times. 

Halloween 5K

I don't have many pictures and I really need to catch up on this blog but here we go.

In October we all signed up for the Halloween Freaky 5K fun run.  I don't know how much fun I had but we all did it.  I was so proud of Emma and Dottie that they finished.  They even came in 2nd and 3rd for their age group.  My dad also joined us.  He also placed in his age group.  I however.. was happy with just finishing.
