More Summer Fun

 At the beginning of August (our Anniversary to be exact)  We decided to take the family on a little hike in Olympia.

 We had a good time.  The kids of course LOVED it.

 Next we had bought a groupon for a train ride and needed to use it before it expired.  We took a ride on the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad!  It was fun to see the old steam train and Cooper loved when the whistle blew... 

 I promise Emma did enjoy it although she doesn't really look like she does in this picture.

 Later we got to have our cousins come for a couple of days to play.  Boman and Ivy came to see us while Jordan and his family went to Utah for his brother's wedding.

 We had a great time with them.

Dottie and Boman are the exact same age.  They are the best of friends.

 For some reason Cooper thinks he needs to turn his head for pictures so Boman joined in too.

We sure are glad they got to come visit us for a couple of days.

Erickson family reunion

 We went to Seaside Oregon to get together for the Erickson Family reunion. Again we did not get many pictures but we had tons of fun.

 This is how Cooper loved spending his time.  Away from the water and sand and wind.  He hates all three of those things.

 During the reunion Jordan helped put together a family 5K.  I think 40+ family members ran it.  Jordan came in 11th place.  Emma also walked it.

 Wedding day pictures...  not in any particular order.  And none from the reception. I guess we were too busy.  But it was a very pretty reception up at a cabin at Sundance.

Summer Vacation

We started the summer off by heading to Utah for Jordan's sister's wedding.  But we took the long way and saw some sites and people along the way.  After looking at the picture I realized how little pictures we actually took...oh well. First we drove to Spokane and had a nice BBQ with family. We then stopped in Phillipsburg, MT and mined for sapphires.  We had limited time so we did it the easy way. It was all ready for us just to sift through and we were guaranteed a few sapphires. We ended up getting quite a few.

 Then we stopped in Rigby, ID to see our cousins that just flew in from Japan.  Can you tell what they did most of the time?  Whatever it was cousin bonding time.. ha.

 We headed to Hyrum Utah for the 4th of July and stayed at Bevanland.  We enjoyed the Hyrum parade which I haven't been to in years.  It was fun.  Cooper did have fun but plugged his ears a lot for the loud noises.

We also went kayaking while at Bevan's with the whole family.  5 minutes down the river and the kayak that Jordan, Cooper and I were on rolled over.  All was okay, but it did not help Cooper's fear of water.

We then headed to Sundance, Utah where the wedding was. We went a couple days before the wedding so we could relax and have some fun up the canyon.  Here is Uncle Nolan with Cooper on the deck of the cabin we were staying in.

 Jordan did a bit of hiking up the canyon.

 We hung out with cousins.

 Lots of laughter and getting to know Aaron, Camille's new husband.

Lots of prepping for the wedding.  Good work ladies.

Going Private

School play

 

 EIEI Oops!

 Emma preformed her the 1st grade play as a pig in EIEI Oops.    She had some speaking parts and sang a solo in one of the songs.  She says she is shy but she loves to be on stage doing something.

Darn head in the way but love this shot anyways.!

Dance Recital

 Way back in June the girls had their dance recital.  They had been working on it since January.  Here are a few pictures from the rehearsal.
Dottie is second one in from the right.

 Dottie had two routines the first picture is of her tap routine and the second of the ballet routine.  Same outfit but different skirts.

 Emma took an acro gym class.  So dance and tumbling together.  She had a lot of fun with this routine.
