my new bag!

Finally I sat down and made myself a bag. I have been searching for fabric and I found it but it was still just sitting in there waiting for me. Jordan kept telling me.. "you need to make your bag" So anyways.. I am happy with it. I love corduroy. I am trying to find my old bag from high school that I had custom made for me out of corduroy from a lady at the Portland Saturday market. I wore that thing out! Anyways.. Here is the new bag!

I also bought some new fabric for bags for my shop!! Hopefully after Christmas I will get to it!

Snow, Snow, Snow

Well we finally got our snow! The girls loved it. Everything was canceled including school! The neighbor girl always comes over to play with Emma and that day she brought her sled and took the girls sledding!

When Jordan got home he went out to play and they all made a snowman.

After they all went sledding I think we got at least 4 more inches of snow!

Parades, ginger bread men and santa!

To start off the month we finally got to go to the annual Christmas parade in town. For the last 2 years Jordan has always had school but not this year. It was a perfect morning. It was cold but the sun was shining so we bundled up and rode our bikes down to the main street in town.

We were lucky enough to get to stand next to Elvis too!!!

Emma thought these were pretty cool so she wanted me to make them for her snack at school the next day! It was her day to bring in snack! And a bag of carrots it wasn't all sugar!

Later that week we had a visitor from the North pole! I wasn't sure how this was going to work since my girls are really not into the whole Santa thing. Well they just like to look at him from afar! Once they saw him they started running into their bedrooms! HA.. we got them out and they finally warmed up to him and Emma sat on his lap and she even got a prize.. once Dottie saw their was a prize involved when it was her turn she ran and jumped into his lap! To prepare for this we did take them to the mall to see Santa but that was very uneventful. Then I took them to the kids party at church where Emma was brave and sat on his lap but Dottie didn't even want to stand in line. But after seeing all these santa's, Emma made the comment.. "so mom those were just all pretend Santa's weren't they" I said what do you mean that was Santa" then she said " but mom the one at the mall didn't have glasses and the one at the church did and the one at our house didn't." I said "well you know how sometimes you see mommy wearing glasses and sometimes I don't, the same with Santa" She agreed but I can tell she is still not sold on that idea!

The TREE

Thats what I am calling it .. the tree...
Jordan cut down his own tree this year up in the mountains! Emma helped him. He went up with his dad and brother and they all got trees. This thing was huge! Eventually I got him to cut it down to at least 13 feet just to get it in the house.

Lumber jack himself!

Emma's pretty excited!

Tagging the trees did I mention it was only $5!!

Emma with her cousin Russel!

Here is the tree in all her glory!

Thanksgiving in style

This year we went up to my brothers house in Duvall for thanksgiving! We had a lot of fun... especially the girls getting to play with their cousins!
As you can see we turned thanksgiving dinner into a princess party!! They LOVED that idea!

We were there for a couple of days.. friday we went down town seattle and went to pikes place market! Lot of people there! We had fun playing the Wii especially bowling and tetris! Then saturday we worked on gingerbread houses!

Here are all the girls ready to go to church in their Christmas dresses!
