august pictures

We spent almost 2 weeks down in Battle Ground hanging out with Jordans Family and his brother Travis' family and these are the only 2 pictures we got at the Erickson house... I am going to have to bum some pictures off of somebody elses camara! This is Dot and Sadie haveing fun throught the door. They are the same age!


Okay i guess we got one more showing how dirty the kids would get after playing in the back yard with their cousins all day, jumping on the trampoline, chasing the chickens, picking berries from grandmas garden, riding motorcycles, swinging down the zipline, chasing around the dog and lots more. Fun time at grandma's house and dottie doesnt want to leave!


We took a trip over to the Portland temple on a Saturday morning so the girls could walk around (they have been learning a lot about temples lately in primary and nursery)and since it was Saturday there were a couple brides walking around getting their pictures done... The girls were in heaven! Dottie kept saying.."mom look the princess got married." Emma thought it was cool to see where mommy and daddy got married too!



After we got home my sister and her family came up for a visit! Here are the girls jumping on the trampoline!

Jordan has FINISHED his Thesis Paper for his masters!!! I am so proud of him! He still has one class to finish before he graduates in September. He has worked very hard and currently has a 4.0 and if everything goes right he will also graduate with a 4.0!! He has worked so hard and we are very proud of him sticking with school and just getting it done!
He started his masters program back in sept of '06 and has been going up to Renton every other weekend, all weekend, for classes. So it's kind of put a damper on our weekends.. but soon we will get him back! His last day of class is Sept. 6th and graduation is Sept. 20th.
If you are curious his paper is on STATISTICAL PROCESS ANALYSIS OF MALFUNCTIONING WATER JET EQUIPMENT FOR THE BOEING 777 HORIZONTAL STABILIZER. I have no idea what that really means.. he would have to explain it. He is getting a Masters of Science in technical Management.

Happy 6th!

Jordan and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on the 3rd of August! We didn't do much to celebrate.. my parents had Emma for the night and we took Dottie, ran to walmart to get some brick, came home layed the brick and rocks around our water faucets outside. Then we took a bike ride to safeway to buy milk came home and ate left overs for dinner, then we decided to go all out and hit up Dairy Queen for dessert! So Romantic eh! Sometime this next week we will go out to dinner with out the kids!

Have you ever had a sty in your eye!! blah.. I have my first one ever! What the heck.. It hurts so bad. I am debating whether to go to the doctor or not.. they will probably just tell me to go home and wait it out! It's not as bad as some pictures I have seen on the internet. It's just swollen and it burns. I hope it goes away soon! Sorry no pictures as of yet.. not sure I will take a picture. (sorry Amy)

I don't know why I am getting so nervous about it!!! The whole thing is just freaking me out.. I guess I have never sold anything really before!! Plus I realized I really need to work on my picture taking skills! So I will probably work on that some more and edit my pictures!
Also if there is anybody really interested and lives in the area.. I am really wanting to build up my feedback on etsy.. so I need you to buy it from there.. but if you do..write me a message on etsy and I will drop the shipping and refund it back!!
I have tons more bags to add I just need to get more sewing time!! So it will be a slow process.

I have been having a creative moment lately. This is what has come of it! Bags! I have been researching them on Etsy.com and I thought.. I can do this! So here they are! I have been working on a name.. Still not sure if I like it but I think I am going with "ME Originals" I am still working on finalizing everything. Tell me what you think!!! Also if you happen to have any other ideas for a name... shoot them this way..

First attempt

We planted our first little (tiny) garden this year. We started out from seed on our tomatoes but that didn't work so we bought some plants already started. We planted our peas from seed and our carrots from seed. Jordan built a little planter box for us. We weren't really sure what we were doing so we just planted. The peas took over!! We are getting a few tomatoes coming. Today I let the girls pick a few peas.. because they have been begging for days..I was just waiting for them to get a little bigger. Don't mind the big stick holding up the peas.. we are trying to keep them off of the carrots that are barely surviving!



This has been another pass time of ours this summer... jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler then laying out and drying off!
