Random things....

So first off we have a picture of Dottie wearing an old 1982 Erickson Family Reunion T-shirt. Basically she looks just like Jordy! I hope to find a picture which I have seen before with Jordan in this same shirt then we can really compare the two!



So we have had some ok weather this week. It's been colder but we have been seeing the sun so we can not complain. Jordan decided to give the cars a wash but of course he couldn't do it by himself... he always has his two little helpers.



We got our first round of colds this fall. Emma started with it and it touched Jordan a bit and now I am down for the count. I feel better during the day but I can't stand trying to sleep with a stuffed up nose! I just hope Dots doesn't get it but she probably will. She has already had a tough time sleeping because she is getting all 4 of her canine teeth in.. they have been swollen for a while and only 2 have popped through. But the other two are just about to pop through. Other than that we have been good. We have been going on our walks and enjoying the weather.

Do the Puyallup Fair

Yes it's fair time again! We went to the Puyallup Fair. This year we went on a weekday night instead of the weekend so it wasn't so crowded. Here are a few pics as you can tell the girls favorite part was of course the animals. We also got to go see one of our favorite things at the fair... And of course we always go on the merry go round.. Emma's favorite ride. It's the only one we will actually pay for since she loves it soooo much!

They had free face painting for kids and so Jordan took Emma up there and she wanted to get a pretty butterfly so that is what she got. She wouldn't let me touch her face for like 2 days after because she didn't want to ruin the butterfly!

Preschool here I come

Well today Emma started preschool. She was sooo excited! Yesterday we went to go meet her teacher and show her what her classroom would look like and when we were leaving she says "Wait mom I thought you were suppose to drop me off!" I said.. no school doesn't start until tomorrow remember we were just meeting your teacher today. She said, "oh, ok" shrugged her shoulders and got in the car. Anyways.. basically she had no problems leaving me for two hours. I didn't think I was going to have much of a problem either but ... I was kind of sad. I guess because I have never left her alone like that. I have always left her with family members or close friends. Even at church I am at least in the same building as her. Anyways it was an experience.

We are Painting!

So I finally decided on a color.. it took me a long time to decide but I was watching Oprah one night and they had a home makeover on the show and they painted their house in this color and since I really couldn't decide I just went with it. So we started by painting our long hallway entrance area. At first I was scared and thought it wasn't the best color choice. But we bought 4 gallons so we kept painting. Then the next day we started painting in our kitchen area. Then I really started to like the paint choice. Our hallway doesn't get much natural light but our kitchen/family/dining area gets the natural light and it looked a lot better. We haven't exactly finished painting but we have a good start. Here are some pics ... just tell me you like it even if you don't like it because it's there to stay now!!!! It just feels like it really warms are place up. Maybe a little more inviting. Now I just need to start hanging things up on my walls!

oh.. and the color is called... Warm buff.. it's at lowes!
